The responsibilities and basic skills/qualifications are as follow but not limited to:

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee accounting staff on the monthly accounting close in accordance with GAAP.
  • P&L forecasting and variance commentary.
  • Oversee the Commissions and Accounts Payable Departments.
  • Evaluate Internal Controls and ensure that adequate segregation of duties exists and policies are followed by accounting and field staff.
  • Involved in preparation of annual budget and ad hoc reporting.
  • Coordinate the Annual Corporate Audit.
  • Oversee and review the preparation of trust account and all balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead the property management software conversion.
  • Identify and Implement process improvements for day to day Property Management functions.
  • Oversee and work with NRT Corporate Office on the year-end processing of 1099’s and other reporting with respect to Commissions, Accounts Payable, and Property Management.
  • Oversee banking functions for all trust accounts; including Positive Pay and ACH roll out.
Education/Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business with a major in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Must have at least 7 years’ experience in general ledger accounting. Experience in residential property management is preferred.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills and must be able to perform well in a team environment. Must be able to take on and lead a project from start to finish and have solid analytical skills.
  • Must possess excellent skills in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
