Position Title : Specialist – Heat Treatment Equipment
Location: Winfield, KS
Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary

Responsible for the operation of the electrical and gas heat treatment equipment

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this position include (other responsibilities may be assigned):

Responsible for operating electrical and gas Heat Treat equipment

Responsible for Preventative Maintenance on all Heat Treat related equipment and records kept of PM.

Responsible for writing and updating all Heat Treat related procedures

Responsible for all calibrations of the Heat Treat equipment

Responsible for adhering to ASME code and customer specifications when performing Heat Treatment

Responsible for all Heat Treatment reports

Responsible for all safety aspects of operating the Heat Treatment equipment

Responsible for maintaining all quality requirements of any Heat Treatment performed at FK

Responsible for maintaining proper levels of consumable items associated with Heat Treat at FK

Assist in scheduling to assure On Time Delivery to Customer

Responsible for controlling costs associated with Heat Treat

Maintaining an organized work area

Training of other FK employees on Heat Treat equipment and processes

Maintaining records of training

Heat Treatment Schedule, both development and keeping updated

Qualifications and Required Skills:

Minimum of 5 years of heat treatment technician experience

Knowledge of ASME code and standards

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or 5 years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (office/cubicle environment with computers, fax machines and printers operating) to loud (manufacturing environment with large machinery operating).
