The Direct Sales Representative markets and sells Knology products and services to potential residential customers.
Primary Functions:
Prepares and presents product and service information to potential residential customers through face to face prospecting in residential areas
Uses a variety of strategies to generate and follow up on sales leads
Develops referrals and makes contacts to other potential customers
Assists customers with ordering information; provides quotations on customer requirements
Accurately completes paperwork associated with each customer order, request, or concern
Attends all scheduled meetings; includes daily sales meetings, monthly employee meetings, and any other company functions or scheduled sales meetings or promotional events
Attains monthly sales goals as outlined in the Performance Agreement
Submits daily, weekly and monthly reports to Sales and Marketing Manager
Attends scheduled training events
Requirements / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
One to three years outside sales experience is preferred
Proficient in MS Office
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Skills and Abilities:
Experience in a technology oriented business is preferred
Excellent oral and written communications skills are required
Must be able to multi-task and function effectively and consistently in fast-paced environment
Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance and work in a constant state of alertness
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally required to sit continuously for extended periods of time
Frequently required to utilize personal vehicle to travel to customer locations
Frequently required to move about between customer homes in neighborhoods
Frequently required to verbally communicate with other employees, customers, and potential customers
Must be able to transport and assemble marketing materials and displays (up to ten pounds)
Frequently required to operate office equipment to include telephone, computer, and printer
