DESCRIPTION

Provide financial analysis of reports related to retail sales performance to better enable leadership teams to grow the profitability of the company. Develop new and test existing measures that will help to drive an increase in system sales.

DUTIES

Report Preparation
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reporting and variance analysis for senior level management to include:
oManagement of Top Movers
oMin/Max settings
oMovement codes
oBase Assortment item parameter analysis
oSeasonal item parameters and flagging
oItems to stock beyond the Base Assortment
oAdjusted Lines per Ticket
oIn Stock %
oBA Alignment %
oLost Sales
oPSP Hits
  • Develop advance tools, models and statistical reports to track, analyze, optimize and forecast revenues, yields, and economic impact by store, owner group, etc.
  • Work on multifunctional team to prepare and review annual budgets and P&L statements for retail store
  • Create benchmarks for the retail stores
Report Analysis
  • Provide complex financial analysis with a strong understanding of finance principles Generate computer aided quantitative and business analysis related to revenue analytics, revenue optimization, customer segmentation, and competitive/market analysis in support of organization's long range goals and strategies
  • Perform review and analysis of in-store promotions. Analyze success/failure of any launches and tests
  • Provide financial guidance and expertise to Operations team
  • Review key operational metrics with stores. Create and implement solutions to help drive store level improvements
QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA required, with emphasis in, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required. Master's Degree a plus
  • 5+ years of experience with operations, quantitative analysis, sales analytics at both macro and micro levels. Experience should include:
  • Navigating retailer portals and databases. Sharepoint experience desirable
  • Reporting on business metrics such as retail performance/POS data
  • SKU intensive data and projects
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of systems, computer aided modeling and decision support. Competency with relational databases. Ability to adapt learning to incorporate new technology.
  • Expert level proficiency with MS Excel. Proficiency in using complex formulas and advanced functions (INDEX, VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLES, SUMIFS, etc.)
  • Highly analytical; ability to assess situations using statistical and qualitative analysis and make recommendations and/or decisions to meet business needs specifically with exceptions, trends, financial
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills. Must use analysis of facts and personal judgment to devise new or modify and adapt existing methods to meet new or unusual requirements
  • Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and as a member of cross-functional business team. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to independently with general oversight, plan and establish priorities to meet deadlines with good control and results, able to develop and follow-up on plans. The capacity and desire to handle heavy workloads and extra hours when required
  • Ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas effectively using both oral and written means. Highly interactive with all levels of sales and operations leadership. Ability to make influential presentations to senior management, store owners and managers, and co-workers.
  • Process oriented with good project management skills; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to take ownership of a project and effectively prioritize work to meet business requirements. Strongly motivated with sense of urgency
  • Flexible and well organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Minimal overnight travel
