Responsible for the day-to-day implementation and execution of the Compliance Program throughout the assigned District(s), to include all areas and projects within that District(s).
The title of District Compliance Manager requires a baccalaureate degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience and education and a minimum of 3-8 year’s experience in the compliance field. Must have working knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal compliance regulations; to include, but not limited to, Antitrust/Competition, Foreign Corrupt Practices, Small Business/Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Transportation, Contract Payments and Claims, Safety, Environmental, and all Employment regulations.
Through daily practice, carry out the spirit and intent of Kiewit’s “Purpose Statement and Core Values” and assist in achieving its major corporate commitments.
Use effective verbal and written communication skills. Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers rapidly and accurately.
Read and understand company policies and procedures and other literature and documents applicable to assigned tasks.
With regard to that portion of the work assigned, develop complete understanding of applicable company policies and procedures and plan and execute the assigned work in accordance with those policies and procedures.
Examine/inspect office conditions and/or procedures and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered.
Inspect work for accuracy and compliance with the company's policies and procedures and take any corrective action needed.
Listen to directions and suggestions from supervisors or other employees regarding safe and proper work practices, evaluate that information and implement a plan based on that evaluation for carrying out the duties of this position.
Lift and carry heavy items weighing approximately 20 pounds.
Identify workplace safety hazards and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize them.
Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (i.e. back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens).
Produce quality work, meeting requirements of company policies, procedures and industry standards.
Be motivated, proactive, and work productively.
Daily, set exemplary standards of ethics and stewardship of the company's resources; support company philosophies, practices and goals; function as a team player; and help to maintain good communications within the Compliance department team.
Understand and implement Kiewit’s compliance procedures and policies.
Develop and implement day-to-day activities for the District Compliance Plan.
Perform District led assessments.
Report monthly to District management on compliance issues and assessment findings
Train all Project Compliance Coordinators (PCCs), within three months after their initial assignment and annually thereafter.
Track and report District Compliance activity to the Corporate Compliance Department.
Maintain records of all regulatory agency inspections of district operations including Notice of Violations, citations, fines, penalties, and settlement agreements and ensuring that any noted compliance findings are reported and remediated.

Provide live training to district staff and Project Compliance Coordinators.
Perform compliance assessments.
Review self assessments for district areas.
Perform all other actions necessary to accomplish the foregoing essential job functions.
