Technical Trainers are responsible for the development and delivery of training for customers in North America for the Siemens Diagnostics product line along with the training of the Technical Applications Specialists who install the instruments. Classroom training is conducted in the three centers of training excellence including Newark, DE, Tarry town, NY and Flanders NJ. Trainers typically deliver training in their local site, however, training may also be delivered on site at the hospital lab on a limited basis. Trainers typically deliver training in a classroom environment with a focus on quality and participant engaged learning. The Technical Trainer position requires a B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Medical Technology or Life Sciences. Typical 2-5 years of successful experience in a related field. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable. This position will be hired at a Technical Trainer 2 or 3 at the discretion of the hiring manager, based on certification and previous experience. A thorough understanding of the operation of the clinical laboratory is a must, laboratory management experience in the core laboratory – including chemistry, hematology, and coagulation. Candidate should also have previous experience in deploying process improvement within the clinical laboratory and solid problem solving skills. This position will support all DX core laboratory product lines with an emphasis on application in the clinical laboratory. This position requires frequent use of computer, telephone, audio/visual/recording equipment, Microsoft office suite, and various other classroom tools. Bio-hazard materials and exposure to internal areas of the instruments are daily exposures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is supplied.

BS/BA in medical technology, life science or related discipline; Advanced degree, where required or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3+ years of industry or related training experience
