Special Information:
This is a Summer Internship position and all applicants must be enrolled in a College, University, or Tech School. If applicant is not currently enrolled in a College, University or Tech School the application will not be considered for a position.

One intern will be hired from this posting; intern will work in the Accounting Controls/Budget and Planning (Administration Division).
Intern will not receive benefits such as paid holidays, medical coverage, earned vacation, or sick leave.
Work schedule will be 40 hours a week during the summer.

Duties:
In conjunction with MDT accountants, the summer intern will perform the following duties: account reconciliation processes, cash flow processes, assist in federal financial reports, update procedures manuals, prepare daily FY11 budget control reports, assist with fiscal year end budget monitoring and overrun reports. All of these duties will have assistance from MDT accountants when needed. Intern can also expect to contribute to weekly staff meetings and reports.

Competencies:
Knowledge and skills required for this job will come from college level coursework in Accounting.

Education/Experience:
Must be currently enrolled in College, University or Tech School; recent grads (no more than 6 months past graduation) can apply but note that preference will be given to applicants that are currently enrolled. Need to at least be entering Junior year or have completed at least 60 credit hours. If applicant is enrolled in a Tech School (2 year program) the credit minimum is 30 credit hours.
