The incumbent serves as serves as a Procurement Technician (Office Automation) who performs clerical and technical work that supports the procurement of supplies and services for the Department of Defense. Prepares, controls and reviews procurement documents and reports; interprets and monitors production surveillance plans; contacts contractors to obtain status of orders; responds to customer requests for accelerated delivery and customer priorities; communicates routinely with contractors, Contracting Officers, Operations Analysts, Quality Assurance Specialists and others in the contract administration field; initiates delay in delivery reports; inputs contractor performance data into MOCAS; maintains various procurement files; maintains MOCAS data base integrity; resolves a variety of shipment, payment, or other discrepancies. Knowledge of governing procurement regulations policies, and procedures in order to provide technical and administrative support to ACO's.

General Experience: To qualify for the GS-05 position, applicants must possess one year of general experience at the GS-04 level. General experience is described as processing a variety documents such as: invoices, vouchers and progress payment requests; experience with automated procurement systems and data base management to process information, collect data and prepare reports.
Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-06 position, applicants must possess one year specialized experience at the GS-05 level. Specialized experience is described as processing a variety of contract administration transactions and documents such as: invoices, vouchers and progress payment requests; experience with automated procurement systems and data base management to process information, collect data and prepare reports.
