Specific Job Description
Provides training support to the HRAccess program and its customers on the use of HR software applications and system tools. The HRAccess Customer Trainer will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the HR life cycle of Federal Employees. The Customer Trainer performs tasks involved in all phases of the traditional training development model including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. They will research and obtain information needed to develop in-house training programs to include: prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; conducts training; and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Work directly with subject matter experts, other instructional designers, and media developers. Communicate with external customers on training concepts through demonstrations and curriculum reviews. Utilize quality control checks to ensure training products are technically accurate and conform to customer and HRAccess program standards and guidelines. Continuously evaluate training materials for effectiveness and currency, and recommend revisions as needed. The Customer Trainer will support multiple training projects while working under tight deadlines. Applicant selected will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet and maintain suitability to work government contract requirements.
Standard Job Description
Develops new courses and/or conducts formal professional training for customers, and/or in-house customer engineers, and/or OEM (original equipment manufacturers) customer engineers in all facets of computer hardware and software technology. This may include concepts and operation of the software and equipment, necessary programming, debugging, repairs and maintenance of data processing equipment. Determines course content and student learning objectives; prepares course syllabi, lesson plans, and student manuals. Evaluates training materials and procedures and makes or recommends revisions to keep courses abreast of software and equipment design. Maintains class records; writes, administers, and scores tests. Counsels students and evaluates student performance.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
