Reporting to the Office Coordinator this position provides primary support for the international and domestic transfer programs (spring and fall) including working closely with the Director of Transfer Admission.

Tasks include:

Communicating with transfer applicants via email and phone and providing counseling and support.

Oversee processing of all electronic application files.

Tracking missing material for incomplete applicants.

Scanning and indexing of all applicant materials to obtain the goal of distributing readable files to Admission deans.

Produce reports and maintain statistics.

Communicate with Wesleyan Registrar’s office regarding transcript credit evaluations.

Assist with transfer applicant decision notification.

The position also provides support for other key admission functions including:

Daily oversight of admission email account.

Assist with the processing of First-Year applications including data entry and scanning of admission documents.

Provide primary support for regional admission dean team during selection/application review.

Perform clerical duties that include processing incoming/outgoing mail and email.

Provide phone support as member of office phone coverage team.

Perform similar and related administrative duties as assigned.

This is a part- time Grade III position in the secretarial/clerical bargaining unit. This position works 35 hours per week for 39 weeks during the academic year.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or 4 years related work experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deal effectively with faculty, students, parents and other university personnel.
Experience in positions which provided exposure to a wide variety of administrative responsibilities.
Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel and database management systems (including creating detailed reports).
Ability to coordinate work priorities, demonstrate initiative, efficiency, organization and follow through with minimum supervision.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in higher education.
Experience in admissions and data-generation, running queries and responding to adhoc data requests.
