The Financial Analyst on the Customer Care Finance team partners with the Customer Care organization to proactively track, evaluate, report, and make recommendations to drive operational excellence. While functions of this position include traditional accounting and FP&A responsibilities, the position also requires operational analysis of essential Customer Care metrics. This position will be located in DIRECTV’s Denver Tech Center location.
Assist senior management in developing annual G&A budgets and forecast updates, as well as report and understand variances to these budgets on monthly basis.
Prepare quarterly call type dashboard to help senior management in making footprint decisions for organization.
Prepare monthly interval adherence reporting.
Maintain partner files that categorize expenses and help senior management in decision making.
Prepare monthly partner audit to ensure production hours are billed correctly.
Prepare monthly accruals and reallocations for insourced locations.
Create purchase requisitions for organization.
Assist with month-end close process.
Assist in the resolution of issues related to invoice processing.
Work with cross-functional teams on capital project opportunities that will drive call deflection.
Prepare monthly telecom allocation for organization.
Prepare monthly variance reports for insourced cost centers.
Other duties, as assigned.
Bachelor's degree (business/economics preferred)
4+ years financial analyst experience. Experience in Customer Care is a plus.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office. This includes the ability to create and maintain complex financial models in Excel (e.g., analyze pivot tables, data filters).
Accrual, reclass and invoice reconciliation knowledge
Ability to organize, evaluate and present complex financial and operational data in a timely and succinct manner.
Inquisitive nature, excellent analytical ability and confidence to make fact-based recommendations to management.
Strong orientation towards precision and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to all levels of the organization.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
8 hour working days with a 1 hour lunch are normal, but able to work overtime as needed
Extensive use of computers (keyboard, screen, sitting)
