Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service / Dinning Room Manager to become an upscale continuing care retirement community in Turlock, CA. This Food Service Manager will be responsible for to support the community dining venues and manage the day to day operations with efficiency using ideal and company standards of excellence.

Ideal candidate has: a formal degree, valid Serv - safe certificate, excellent knowledge of food presentations, fundamental culinary knowledge, food and labor management systems experience, strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace. Best qualified candidate possesses excellent leadership and communication skills and will be hands on during dining experiences where the position will interface with the client and residents on a regular basis. The ideal candidate should have Senior Living Dining, retail, and guest relations experience and Servsafe Certified. The Managers role will oversee and participate in all daily food contract operations for the full-service Bistro, Cafe and Catering events. Responsibilities will include: cash handling/management, billing and invoicing, marketing, hiring, payroll reporting, scheduling, staff training, sanitation, direct customer interaction and supervision of up to 45 non-union hourly associates. Contract management with two to three years of experience would be helpful in this position.
Scheduled days and shifts will vary and may include rotating weekend and holiday management coverage.This position is also responsible for the positive outcomes for all planning, organizing and the Sodexo Brand at all dining experiences in a respectful and appreciative manner.

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
