Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:
This position exists to provide business analysis activities for small to large Information Technology (IT) projects that fall under the Specialty IT organization, especially for the Specialty CATS application. The CATS application provides a nation-wide solution to efficiently handle and process patient dispenses. CATS is used for areas such as Patient Enrollment, Order Entry, Claims Adjudication, Order Fulfillment, Order Tracking, and Management and Manufacturer reporting.
This position will work with business partners within business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies and serve as liaison between the Information Technology (IT) technical team and the business partners. Responsibilities will include the development and management of project documents including: project charter, requirements management plan, functional and non-functional requirements, process diagrams, user interface specifications, change control documentation, software quality assurance plan, and test strategy/plan. implementation and deployment plans, stage gates, status reports, meeting agendas and minutes, budget, resource plans, project closeout and lessons learned.
Interfaces with technical teams including IT Architecture, IT Security, technology infrastructure and operations. Interfaces with business leadership, business project sponsors, and business subject matter experts. Analyzes complex business needs and facilitate concurrence among stakeholders to deliver IT solutions to enable business goals & objectives. Assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Identifies business, operational and technical tasks, scope, time constraints and task interdependencies.
Lead group to successful solutions by facilitating to consensus on issues. Investigates, researches and proposes process and procedure. Complies with CVS Software Engineering Process (SEP). Communicates formal presentations to management and business partners. Provide input to technology strategy plans.
Responsible for end-to-end ownership of projects and project planning activities in area of expertise. Reviews test plans and results. Assists with the resolution of test incidents. Reports on project status and impact analysis on an ongoing basis. Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business area to resolve problems on an ongoing business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Functions as a Lead Business Analyst on large projects.
May have responsibility for a team of Business Analysts, and is responsible for providing guidance, direction, feedback and coaching to ensure team effectiveness.
Light travel may be necessary – no more than 1 week a quarter. Required Qualifications:
6+ years experience eliciting and documenting business requirements by facilitating meetings with large groups of business and IT representatives 6+ years experience supporting large projects and concurrent projects using standard software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies 2+ years experience in Healthcare IT experience 3+ years experience with Excel, Word and Powerpoint Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to prepare and deliver organized and understandable presentations to medium or large groups Ability to execute business process mapping using Visio or Blueworks Ability to build and maintain successful teams and business relationships Strong interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders Ability to provide innovative solutions for team improvement Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools IIBA certification HP QC experience Experience in Specialty pharmacy business Experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing Experience in mobile and/or web analytics Technical and development background Education:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Information Systems, or Computer Science required. If no degree, two additional years of experience are required for each year of college not attained. Business Overview:
