Job Summary: Responsible for the sales and servicing of all available property/casualty insurance products via face-to-face contact and occasional telephone (inbound/outbound) with customers. Responds to all questions regarding new customer accounts, product availability, billing and payment options, policy status, complaints, and other customer inquiries. Processes related policy additions and changes and performs other processing as needed. Performs customer follow-up work as required. Reports to Sales & Service Leader Job Responsibilities 1. Delivers 'On Your Side' customer service through implementation of the Five Moments of Truth to all customers. 2. Provides full range of customer service and sales support to policy holders according to established standards and best practices. 3. Sells products in person or by phone to new and existing customers, advising them of best coverage options, quoting appropriate rates and making every effort to close the sale in a first-time final mode. 4. Interprets contract and/or policy provisions to provide an explanation and information to customers/policy holders regarding coverage, billing options, limits, deductibles; considers customer needs in concert with company guidelines. Determines and enters accurate information into all related systems. Processes policy changes as needed and requested. 5. Maintains current in-depth understanding of sales and customer service techniques, overall processing and product updates and related systems enhancements. 6. Develops relationship with community served in order to promote products and services. 7. Responsible for achieving sales targets and market share objectives in support of regional objectives; includes new business and the retention of current business. 8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Education: High school studies; technical school studies in personal computing and software usage. Prefer undergraduate studies in related field. Designations: Property & Casualty license required; Life and Health licenses preferred but not required. Experience: Four years in general office environment that includes writing, proofreading, mathematics and data analysis, and personal computing and corresponding software. Knowledge: Office practices and procedures, intermediate mathematics, office filing systems and record keeping procedures. Prefer some knowledge of financial services or insurance industry. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal/external contacts. Organizational skills for project coordination. Ability to operate personal computer and related business software. Job Conditions: Overtime Eligibility: Eligible (Nonexempt) Work Environment: Office and field environment. Advocates may be required to operate an automobile and have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Occasional travel may be required for sales training and development.
