This position is NOT rotational; the position requires that the employee live in Valdez, Alaska or the immediate area to accommodate a 5-day work week.

J OB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the employee is responsible for the day to day functions and quality of work performed by the DUS janitorial crew.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five years of experience as a janitorial supervisor
  • Supervisory experience to include training (both task related and safety), work scheduling, coordination, and performance evaluations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manage personnel, equipment, chemical and supply items
  • Conduct inspections/audits of janitorial work areas to ensure standards are being met
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate records
  • Willingness to perform others duties as required
  • Willingness to work at various locations as required

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee’s work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
