The Vendor Compliance Insurance Specialist is responsible for the application, contract, and service agreement review and processing for all installers and third party service solutions' vendors; approving and monitoring insurance documents; and approving the vendor setup and issuance of a vendor number for these vendors. The Vendor Compliance Insurance Specialist must be able to effectively communicate Lowe's insurance requirements to vendors and vendors' insurance agents to ensure accurate and complete insurance coverage is in place and provide a continuous stream of information concerning vendor status to the Installed Sales and Service Solutions management team to ensure that only properly qualified vendors are performing services on Lowe's behalf. The Specialist also serves as support to the Installed Sales and Service Solutions vendors and management related to installer and service solutions' vendors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Oversee the vendor set up process for all Installer and Repair Service vendors
Analyze third party installer and repair service vendor applications, service agreements and contracts, insurance documents, and background checks for compliance using Lowe's Imaging system
Approve or reject documentation based on Installed Sales, Service Solutions and Risk Management guidelines
Input new vendor information into the Lowe's Vendor System and request vendor number assignment
Email vendor numbers to the responsible Area Installation Manager or Repair Services Support
Notify vendors concerning insurance expirations and cancellations
Process a high volume of insurance renewal updates received via fax and email
Direct Interaction with vendor insurance agents or underwriters to educate on Lowe's insurance requirements and resolve deficiencies
Input and track insurance updates within Access database
Ensure that vendor insurance files are updated within 48 hours of receipt of renewal documents
Support Area Installation Managers related to application, insurance, and background check issues
Achieve established productivity and quality standards
Monitor group mailboxes for Applications, Insurance, and Vendor Compliance
Respond timely and professionally to telephone and e-mail inquiries from stores, vendors, and Area Managers
Provide installer documentation to the Legal Department for review when requested
Run daily reporting queries in Insurance Database
Provide reporting metrics to Installed Sales and Service Solutions staff
Collaborate with Lexis/Nexus to resolve background check issues
Process a high volume of mailed insurance renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements
High School Diploma.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Proficient with operating a PC and various software packages such as Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

Previous commercial Insurance knowledge or experience.
