CSID is seeking a talented Linux Admin (Contractor) with a strong background in UNIX/Linux to join our IT/Ops group! This individual will be responsible for investigating existing CRONs, reporting scripts (PHP, Perl, Shell, etc.), troubleshooting DB query processes, building and maintaining new tools to enhance existing process automation, monitoring and daily operational infrastructure.
The ideal candidate should be a proven UNIX Engineer with excellent coding and communications skills and the desire to automate infrastructure and application management.

Develop, integrate, test, and debug systems tools and other solutions

Influence systems designs, identify and deliver IT/Ops requirements for projects and initiatives

Improve and maintain existing CSID process automation, ability to test for accuracy

Work with other operations teams to build out new requirements/updates for toolsets

Author and maintain specifications, diagrams, and other documentation

Implement and maintain Nagios monitoring systems

Update, upgrade, and maintain operating systems and application servers

Adhere and maintain proper auditing in accordance with SAS70 and PCI Compliance Standards.

Technical Documentation “how to’s” of CSID systems

Develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions for CSID infrastructure.

Interface and test with software vendors to ensure the smooth deployment of new CSID systems

Job Requirements:
5+ years professional experience in UNIX/Linux, scripting and administration

5+ years professional experience developing code to automate operational tasks. (Perl, PHP, BASH, Shell, awk, Python, etc.)

Solid understanding of network infrastructure and technologies

Mastery of RedHat Enterprise Linux system commands, RHCE preferrable

Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Xen, etc.)

In-depth MySQL knowledge, queries, administration experience

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills

Experience using developer tools such as SVN, Eclipse, Bugzilla

Flexible and responsive to changing priorities

Extreme attention to detail, strives for excellence in delivering accurate, timely results

This position should expect to complete tasks as required independently and with minimum support from executive staff. The optimal candidate should have strong abilities to grasp new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study and interaction with other team members.
The optimal candidate will have a good mix of help-desk, project management, troubleshooting, and technical implementation experience, good time management and communication skills.

Required Skills:
BS, BA in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, MIS or relevant technology degree or relevant work experience in similar environment

Experience working with GlassFish, WebLogic and/or Tomcat
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities

Must be able to execute all tasks with exceptional attention to detail.

Must have ability and desire to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced start-up environment and be able to handle several projects and tasks simultaneously

Must possess excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
