Health Integrated is seeking a Senior Systems & Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and tuning our corporate network, multiple data centers and virtualization infrastructure across the organization. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience analyzing the existing infrastructure, constructing a roadmap for improvement and executing projects that continually improve the performance of our information technology assets. As a member of the Data Center Operations team, this role will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the performance and reliability of our IT investments. The successful candidate will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required. We believe this first-hand experience supporting users provides our network engineers with a tight connection to the business problems they are solving.
Minimum Qualifications: Education/License/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or information technology. Cisco CCNA or equivalent network administration certification is preferred.
Experience: More than 5 years hands-on technical experience administering networks and data center operations with specific emphasis on Microsoft Active Directory, Cisco switches, routers, ASA, load balancers, firewalls and VPN. Must be comfortable in a heterogeneous environment consisting of Linux, Windows and Cisco.
Knowledge/Skills:
In-depth technical knowledge of network, and platform operating systems, including Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange and related system management tools.
Experience with network and system monitoring tools, including configuration of system alerts to alert administrators of potential system issues and bottlenecks.
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including SIP trunks, IP telephony, QoS and network routing protocols
Hands-on hardware and software configuration troubleshooting experience using network and system monitoring tools to constantly improve reliability, scalability and security.
Experience with administering and maintaining Active Directory, LDAP with familiarity with two-factor authentication systems.
Demonstrated experience configuring, deploying and maintaining a large VMware installation.
Proven experience managing backup and recovery systems to achieve aggressive MTTR goals using HP Data Protector or similar data protection products.
Working knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN and/or NAS.
Strong written, presentation, and oral communication skills and ability to explain issues/resolution concepts in technical and non-technical terms to customers and company staff.
Accountabilities: Job Performance/Responsibilities:
Be a key member of the IT team and will be responsible for various aspects of the company’s infrastructure.
Oversee day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support and training.
Install, configure, and maintain network elements, computer systems, and other related equipment.
Monitor and manage network hardware, software, and equipment including routers, switches, hubs, UPS, etc.
Manage security solutions including firewalls, anti-virus and intrusion protection systems.
Perform scheduled network tasks, update anti-virus definition files, monitor network servers, and provide Internet and Intranet user support and training.
Plan, design, and implements data connectivity for Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems.
Design, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for network and system security, and server room physical and environmental controls.
Establish and perform maintenance programs per company and vendor standards.
Provide network and remote connectivity hardware/software support.
Provide on-call support to company staff and customers, as needed.
Responsible for backup and disaster recovery planning and readiness.
Analyze and troubleshoot network logs and track the nature and resolution of problems.
Maintain LAN user documentation including hardware/software applications, support logs, and other related information.
Research and recommend network and server hardware and software.
Assist in coordinating projects including network related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation, backup, maintenance, and problem solving.
Monitor usage to ensure security of data and access privileges; install, support, and maintain both physical and virtual network servers and appliances.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot the Storage Area Network (SAN).
Establish and maintain user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges, and security; perform daily server tape backups.
Research, analyze, monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve server or data network problems.
Develop, maintain, and implement network support and archiving procedures.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and consulting with vendors and clients for hardware/software purchases, product services and support; recommend and specify the purchase of related products and services.
Build and follow asset management practices.
Keep current regarding new hardware/software products for system enhancements
