The Admission liaison is responsible for facilitating admissions to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit while following the rules and regulations of the hospital and CMS. This individual performs frontline assessment of referrals for admission and coordinates admissions with the IRF Medical Director.
This employee is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and participates with patient satisfaction initiatives, performance improvement activities and post discharge follow up phone calls.
Minimum of two years experience in an acute care setting.
Graduate of an accredited university with a healthcare degree.
Assaultive Behavior Course within 30 days of hire.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage work within time frames; read and analyze technical material; communicate verbally and in writing. Must have knowledge of computer applications.
Must be well versed in medical pathology, anatomy and physiology and marketing strategies as well as physician recruitment and alignment. Must possess exemplary interpersonal communication skills and organizational capacitance.
