Temporary Accountant II-Grants

This temporary position performs accounting functions pertaining to grant funded projects. Duties: ’ Assists in the preparation of spreadsheets, reports and statements for grants in compliance with Federal, State and local requirements.

’ Assists in monitoring and evaluating grand expenditures to ensure compliance with required accounting Federal, State and local standards, procedures and regulations.

’ Assists in verifying voucher, requisitions, invoices and other financial data for accuracy, completeness and conformance with funding guidelines and accounting procedures.

’ Assists in interpreting financial records and preparing reports concerning the financial condition of grant funded projects.

’ Develop standard operating procedures for processing of grant related activities.

’ Identify process improvements.

’ Compiles financial data for the use on the preparation of budgets as needed of grant funded projects.

’ Assists in specialized studies or reports.

’ Perform all other work related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Experience, Education and other requirements:
’ Data processing applications as related to accounting software, Excel spreadsheets and Word processing.

’ Governmental accounting principles, practices, laws, guidelines and regulations.

’ Two years of general accounting experience.

’ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or two years of related field experience for each year of college.

’ Valid Florida Driver License

This temporary assignment is approved for approximately six (6) months and the pay is between $17.00/hr to $19.00/hr based on experience and qualifications.
