Registers and checks in patients verifying accurate demographic data entry at each encounter, to include scanning and verifying photo ID.
Obtain, scan and verify insurance information, including expiration dates and authorization for services from insurances.
Obtains all legal signatures for treatment and financial policy
Collects co-payment amounts or payment on patient responsibility accounts per guidelines
Effectively uses computerized scheduling for appointments and ancillary services for all providers following established protocols.
Takes accurate, concise messages making sure they get to the appropriate recipient in a timely manner
Greets patients in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
Checks out patients and routes the Patient Care Summary appropriately.
Finds resolution of accounts flagged in system and works dashboard as assigned.
Other duties as assigned Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED. Previous medical reception experience preferred. Physical Demands
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements exceed those for sedentary work. Work Hours
