This position is a summer internship in Materials Management supporting Airplane Programs at our Auburn, Everett and Renton locations. The job will involve synchronization of a supply chain between various organizations, customers and suppliers by managing inventory systems, simulations, modeling and forecasting data to order from procurement contracts. In addition, this position will require monitoring customer inventory demand and material assets on hand or in transit in order to optimize total supply chain planning. Intern positions will be exposed to multiple supply chain facets including: contract administration, purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, logistics and warehousing.
Candidates should be prepared to apply supply chain management (SCM) techniques to scheduling and ordering materials and parts. Candidates should also be prepared to participate and directly contribute to cross-functional teams. The ability to align inventory management decisions with customers and supplier schedules is a highly critical component of this job role.
