Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:
Technical Advisor is responsible and accountable for the quality and cohesion of solution architecture components within an assigned domain and their conformance to approved CVS/Caremark IT standards and alignment with the future state specialty system. This individual is able to look across the assigned domain to ensure consistent alignment of technical solutions with the business goals and objectives of the supported unit. The Technical Advisor provides industry leading technical direction and guidance to the application development teams to ensure appropriate and cost effective application of CVS/Caremark approved technologies. Ensures appropriate and effective data integration across multiple applications. Required Qualifications:
10+ years development experience in application development (SDLC) including experience leading multiple technical project teams on multiple concurrent projects/programs. Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with Business Users, other IT groups and team members is required Ability to assess the impact of architecture changes on the business, application relationships and information flow Ability to design systems for high availability, security, manageability and reliability Understanding of design considerations for high volume transaction systems Understanding of design considerations for large database implementations. Ability to function as a leader throughout the project lifecycle with the ability to motivate and lead teams. Ability to manage scope and estimate delivery schedules for projects Excellent research skills, ability to leverage available tools such as subscription services, trade press, Internet or other online. IBM System i (AS/400), Synon/2, RPG Preferred Qualifications:
Synon/2 RPG experience Education:
Bachelor's degreee in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required, one additional year of experience is required for each year of college not attained. MS preferred. Applicable or required certifications. Business Overview:
