The Global Financial Applications team is looking for a software development manager to play a key role in extending the Oracle applications used at Amazon.com. This position will be responsible for leading and managing tresources to implement solutions and provide support on multiple applications within the Oracle e-Business suite. Knowledge of Oracle’s e-Business suite will be leveraged to identify and design solutions that optimize functionality. Core activities will include resource management; execution and solution delivery including standard implementations, interfaces in and out of the e-business suite, and modifications as required; work prioritization; and end user support for multiple applications in multiple geographies.

Basic Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science or similar discipline.
  • Strong technical credentials, with at least 7 years experience leading or managing teams implementing solutions with Oracle’s e-business suite.
  • A record of great hiring of technical team members and leaders.
  • Must have a strong functional knowledge of the Oracle e-Business suite.
  • Must have expertise designing end to end Oracle e-Business suite solutions.
  • Experience with Oracle’s development tools including reports, forms, BI publisher, Workflow Builder, and JDeveloper.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL best practices.
  • Experience with at least one of these e-business suite applications (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Procurement, iProcurement, iExpense, General Ledger, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and/or Order Management).
  • Experience engaging Oracle Support to research and resolve issues.
  • Operational support and passion, with experience in establishing, measuring, and meeting service level agreements, improving the availability, performance, and quality of systems.
  • A track record of communicating well with executives and non-technical leaders.
  • Experience dealing with a varied set of customers across the world would be a plus.
