This position is located at the Marine Forces Reserve, located in New Orleans, LA. KEY REQUIREMENTS

You must be a US Citizen.
Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance.
Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation.
Must successfully complete a Supervisory probationary period.
The selectee must be able to obtain and keep a Top Secret clearance DUTIES:

  • Plan, and recommend financial programming and budgeting for IT requirements. Lead the budget process, identifying shortfalls and resource issues or constraints; and advise the Officer in Charge regarding appropriate Courses of Action.
  • Develop and write Statements of Work for network and data center resource management and enforces command policies and procedures in accordance to Department of Defense, Department of Navy, and United States Marine Corps policies and guidelines.
  • Oversee technical planning for and implementation of IT initiatives, capabilities, and architecture requirements for the MAGTF Information Technology Support Center base and station tenant commands.
  • Provide briefings, information papers, presentations and proposals to the MAGTF Information Technology Support Center Officer in Charge and the respective assistant Chief of Staff on significant developments and plans for IT issues and modernization.
  • Coordinate network, Information Assistant technicians and systems administrators in design, engineering, and implementation and management of the network. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing strategic planning; identifying cyber security issues, develop policies and guidance to address future cyber security challenges.

REQUIREMENTS:
Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

In accordance with Executive Order 12564, applicants selected are required to submit to a drug test and receive a negative drug test result prior to appointment. In addition, this position is a drug-testing designated position (TDP) subject to random testing for illegal drug use.

The selectee must be able to obtain and keep a Top Secret security clearance.

Selectee may be required to complete a one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period.

This is a Key/Emergency-Essential position. In the event of a crisis situation of war, the incumbent must continue to perform assigned duties to support mission requirements until relieved by proper authority.
