Job Responsibilities:
Function: Help plan, procure and control the acquisition of raw materials, products and services for General Dynamics, Armament & Technical Products, Lincoln Operations that meet the requirements set forth by GDATP Operations, Engineering and Quality Assurance. Strive for cost reduction of raw materials, products and services. Monitor lead-time of materials and services.

Duties: Under general supervision, applies the basic principles, concepts and practices of supply chain management. Responds to well defined tasks guided by policies and procedures.

� Plan acquisition of materials, products and services to ensure lowest cost and delivered when needed.

� Generate solicitations and purchase orders.

� Procure required material and services within program budgets in support of build plans.

� Manage supplier performance and communicate status.

� Provide support to resolve issues and mitigate cost, technical and schedule risks.

� Assure compliance to GDATP policies and procedures, as well as public law.

Required Education:
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Business or Supply Chain

Required Work Experience:Required:
� Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience.
� Use of MS Office Products.
� Experience using competitive and single source solicitation techniques.
� Significant purchasing experience (sustained annual purchases totaling more than $1M).
� Prior expediting or scheduling experience or equivalent education may be substituted.
Preferred: Experience with Oracle SCM.

Preferred:
� Familiar with Federal, State, or Local Government purchasing processes and regulation.
