The Welder has to be able to read and understand weld symbols or shop drawings to the point of being able to construct parts to print requirements without the aid of a hard stopped fixture. They must also be able to produce welds with a quality that will join the components together in a fashion that allows the part to be transported or manipulated for final welding without any failures. This individual must also be able to weld the component to the stage of completion with minimal quality defects.
*Knowledge and understanding of welding process and symbols
*Mechanically inclinded, production oriented, safety and quality conscious
*General knowledge of ancillary lifting devices
*Basic math skills required
*Working knowledge of general computer programs strongly preferred
*Previous experience with precision instruments preferred
*Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings
* Fine motor and gross motor coordination
*Minimum 1 year experience in related function
*Must be able to pass a basic 8 millimeter (5/16") fillet weld joint
