In this role you will be responsible for identifying and implementing new cleaning methods / processes for cleaning all UX parts and assemblies of the Evolution Series Engine for overhaul to launch production at GE Grove City's second Diesel Engine site. You will work with the Site Start-up Team to leverage existing GE or vendor methods and Lean manufacturing tools to create, improve, and transition those processes to the new site. Essential Responsibilities
Identify and implement all aspects of appropriate cleaning technologies and media for Diesel Engine components
Identify and spec all equipment needs associated with Diesel Engine component cleaning
Work with cross-functional Project Teams to incorporate cleaning processes, testing methods, and component handling methods throughout the new facility
Ensure that all vendors deliver on time and on budget to our specifications
Define run-off plan for acceptance of any new equipment
Coordinate with Maintenance / Facilities Leader on all new equipment to ensure ease of maintenance and common spares approach is considered
Develop processes that will provide a safe work environment and deliver world class quality products Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university OR a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience
At least 3 years of manufacturing experience
At least 3 years of project engineering or manufacturing engineering experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience with a variety of blast media, ultrasonic, vibratory, and chemical cleaning technologies
Experience with cleanliness testing methods, including gravimetric testing
Strong Project Management skills
Heavy industrial machining and assembly experience
Excellent written / oral communication skills, influencing and interpersonal skills
Self-starter; takes the initiative to identify and implement new ideas
Strong analytical / problem solving skills
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills
Ability to work with a variety of teams including both the shop floor and salary exempt personnel
