L-3 is seeking BYU-Idaho engineering students to fill Summer Internships for the summer of 2013. The Engineering Intern position provides an opportunity for engineering students who are currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science to get hands-on experience working with engineers in a cutting edge communications hardware engineering environment. Interns will be called upon to support a variety of hardware engineering activities in a fast paced engineering environment. Interns will be assigned to one of many engineering teams to assist with a variety of technical tasks associated with Department of Defense (DoD) Programs. Interns may also be assigned to other engineering tasks throughout the Engineering Department as needed.
Each Intern will have a mentor to assist in completing tasks and answering questions. Tasks will be tailored to the Intern experience level, interestes and capabilities.
Qualified candidates will be Junior, Senior or Graduate Level students effective Summer 2013 currently enrolled in classes leading to a degree.
Must be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
The Intern must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
The Intern Engineer will be required to work 40 hours per week
Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
