Professional Land Surveyor
Type of Position:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or land surveying or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.
• Colorado Professional Land Surveyors License
• Minimum 8 years of experience working with knowledge of CDOT T-Moss coding system, GPS Fast Static and Robotic Surveying, AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Knowledge of Colorado Surveying Laws.
Function as a Project Surveyor on some of the existing project backlog, and directing the work of subordinate personnel on the development of Surveys, plats and ROW Plans. The position will be required to know how to complete a project using either AutoCAD or Microstation as the drafting platform, and have knowledge of general survey practices along with CDOT TMOSS coding system. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of field surveying with the use of GPS. This position will include checking field crews work along with office calculations of plats and plans.
The candidate must be able to direct the day-to-day operation of a field crew. Should have the ability to teach subordinates how to upload and download data collectors, both conventional and GPS, plan and process GPS Fast Static networks, reduce field notes, perform courthouse research, review title work, be able to perform basic coordinate geometry calculations, and perform drafting duties utilizing AutoCAD or Microstation.
