Position Objective:
Broward College invites applicants for a full-time tenure track teaching position in Economics. This position is a two semester (163 day) contract. The anticipated hire date is August 2013.

Minimum Education:
Master's degree in Economics or Business Administration with eighteen graduate semester hours in Economics is required.

Minimum Experience/Training:
Teaching at College level is desired but not required. Experience with online learning is preferred. Committee and curriculum work will be required and schedules may include evening and/or weekend hrs. Summer courses may be available.

Candidates should demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, achievement and persistence; (3) technology competencies as well as teaching/counseling skills and strategies that facilitate 21st century literacies; (4) the use of resources that prepare students for productive lives. The successful candidate must be a dynamic student-oriented instructor who has a clear understanding of the unique needs of the college student as well as competence with classroom instructional technology.
