The SharePoint Developer / Admin will work with the SharePoint Application Manager to support, design, develop, and deploy of SharePoint solutions in the iRobot Enterprise. Additionally, this role will include administration and management of the SharePoint Farm and end-user support of content management, workflow, site design and overall functional use of the SharePoint 2010 system.
Essential Functions/ Job Duties:
Support and mentor iRobot’s SharePoint users
Participate in full life-cycle development of SharePoint 2010 solutions which includes working from high level requirements through detailed specifications, prototype, software deployment, programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions.
Deploy new functionality and/or enhancements to SharePoint functionality
Proactively manage and support the day-to-day system management tasks such as trouble-shooting, backup management and performance tuning
System management of SharePoint 2010 Production Farm
May perform in the capacities of application developer and system administration.
Depending upon the application, may have additional responsibilities.
Should be comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources.
SharePoint 2010 functional expert that understands the ins and outs of the end-user functionality
SharePoint Solution development leveraging, SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio and InfoPath
SSRS, SSIS, SSAS configuration and development experience desirable
C# Development Experience (specifically in one or more of the following: Web Parts, Timer Jobs, Custom Workflow Activities, ASP.NET, MVC, etc. strongly desirable)
Strong understanding SQL Server (Relational Database Design, T-SQL, Queries, Stored Procs)
SQL Server 2008 administration and maintenance experience
Strong customer service skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships
Strong analytical skills and good problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Assignments require extensive work using a computer.
Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
Education: BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
Experience: 3+ years of experience in application development and/or administration.
Highly self-motivated and directed team player.
System level expertise in core functionality of assigned application with the ability to map out solutions to a wide range of business problems
Must exhibit a high-level of analytical skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to understand the business goals, drivers and processes and translate them into documented user requirements, functional specifications / solutions and project plans
Ability to work collaboratively with 3rd parties such as applications developers so that business requirements are addressed to the satisfaction of the user
Ability to influence users and peers on project teams so that project goals are achieved employing evidence based decision making and effective approaches to conflict resolution
Must be able to work creatively, calmly, flexibly and under tight deadlines in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting/multiple demands and opportunities
