Under the Director of Administration, you will provide oversight of security services for the culture center to ensure the safety of employees, preservation and protection of artifacts, exhibits and state property: supervise the security/public information unit, participating in staff recruitment, selection, review of daily performance recommend promotions and/or disciplinary actions, review and approve leave requests, coordinate contractual security staff operations; oversee and coordinate payroll of assigned areas encompassing the culture center and loading dock areas, provide coverage and relief of posts; develop security policies and procedures for operation, responsible for enforcement and clear interpretation and communication of same to the public, division staff and subordinate staff; provide training of newly employed officers; attend weekly calendar meetings to establish required security staffing needs and to have information to relay to the public attending events regarding room bookings, receptions, special programming and large events; a successful criminal background check may be a condition of employment. Preference may be given to candidate with security operations background.

Training: Graduation from an regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
Experience: Four years full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the area of security, two years of which must have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
Preference may be given to candidate with security operations background.
Substitution: Successfully completed graduate study in the area of assignment from an regionally accredited four-year college or university may be substituted on a year-for-year basis, not to include the two years of supervisory or administrative experience.
