Position reports to the Manager of the United States Air Force (USAF) KC-46 Tanker Support & Training Logistics Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT). Primary responsibilities will be for Avionics and Software Support System Analysis (SSA), Design for Supportability engineering influence and support of all related activities for Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) contract Statement of Work (SOW). Product support experience is required as is experience with MIL-STD-1388 or similar database(s). Experience with SLICwave is preferred. Coordinates engineering change proposals and baseline support concepts and challenges inconsistencies for clarification. Supports or establishes and executes test plans and validates support requirements for product design. Additional support activities for the IPT include: Support development and execution of the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) to define the transition from pre-operational support to interim contractor support and the plan to transition from organic supply to two-level organic maintenance. Provide cross-IPT support for the entire Support & Training organization for presentations, public relations, management scorecard, Program Management Best Practices, Lean Initiative, Strategic Objectives, whitepapers, website, Integrated Product Team Instructions (IPTIs), Systems and Logistics Integration Capability (SLIC), Management Emphasis Tracking (MET) Action Item management. Support KC-46 Program and IPT Change Control Boards (CCB). Implement the use the Team Repository and Change System (TRACS) configuration management tool to track change impacts to Support & Training products.

Evaluates engineering design for supportability of multiple equipment subsystems. Develops supportability data and identifies gaps and initiates resolution to meet support objectives. Analyzes and develops preliminary task and resource requirements. Validates that design meets supportability criteria and assists with alternate design recommendations. Develops repair level analysis and scheduled maintenance programs. Identifies alternatives to resolve obsolescence issues.

Complete knowledge of all delivered system/hardware (e.g., inertial navigation, radar, hydraulics, airframe, power plant, environmental control, fuel, rocket test stand, support equipment, in-flight entertainment) as it applies to maintenance and operations.

Complete knowledge of customer, regulatory agency, industry, and company policies, practices, and procedures as they apply to technical documentation, support equipment, part interchangeability, data reliability analysis and data extraction, service related problem resolution and warranty settlement processes, etc. in support of projects and programs.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have experience with MIL-STD-1388 or similar databases and tools?

Do you have at least 3 years of Avionics and/or Software system support analysis experience ?

Typical Education/Experience
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Other Job related information
US citizenship required: Must have the ability to obtain Secret Clearance. Travel Required. Experience with SLIC is highly desirable.
