HP.com IT - eCommerce and Marketing is responsible for all eCommerce Stores for HP. The ATLAS program will develop the next generation Global eCommerce store for HP, starting with our Consumer and Small and Medium Business sectors. This online store will be based on Intershop's Enfinity Suite 6.4 technology, and will interface with all existing HP IT go-forward assets.
The e-commerce software developer
Is responsible for the investigation, initial design, development, bug fixing, quality engineering, security and performance considerations, documentation and general product maintenance of the assigned Atlas capabilities
Provides mentoring and guidance to other developers.
Performs technical design review and code reviews for offshore developers
Recognizes and points out design problems during the project-planning process.
Resolves in-process problems independently or with minor input from project manager.
Responds to key product questions and customer needs.
Works in team with other developers and other counterparts, as a member of a geographically and internationally distributed team.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Excellent team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of information technologies: Java, J2EE, HTML, XML, relational databases, network architecture, e-commerce concepts
Experience in web application software development, preferably e-commerce
Good knowledge of software development processes, methods and tools
Minimum of three years experience in Java development
Experience with e-commerce platform Intershop Enfinity 6, Eclipse framework and Oracle database
Strong understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies
Solid experience in project and resource management
Professional verbal and written communication skills
