Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Group Controller is considered a highly visible position within the Company. The Controller is responsible for all aspects of the accounting function including leading the monthly financial cycle, reporting, and development or enhancement of accounting and financial processes.
Oversee daily operations of the accounting department including general & regulatory accounting, accounts payable, receivable, project costing, consolidation, and reporting
Recruit, train, and develop team of 25+
Lead the month, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes
Develop internal controls to ensure integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data
Coordinate and oversee the Sarbanes Oxley activities relative to internal controls documentation, testing, and segregation of duties
Coordinate audits of accounting & operational processes, policies, and procedures to maximize efficiency and align with company's strategy
Manage regulatory accounting and reporting requirements
Ensure Company financial reports are prepared in compliance with policies and directives
Primary interface with external auditors and third party accounting resources
Assess and propose system or process enhancements and drive organizational change
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
At minimum a four (4) year degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree in Administration or Accounting preferred
CPA required
5-10 years in a financial leadership role, industry experience highly preferred
Demonstrated understanding of financial reporting and previous public accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, etc
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley required
High degree of computer literacy; knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
Experience leading teams and driving process improvement
Ability to multitask, strong creativity, and drive cross functional initiatives
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
