The Training Specialist is responsible for working closely with the MSPRC Operations to identify training needs, and develop, organize and implement effective training programs for the MSPRC and other CNI trainings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity knowledge/quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative/motivation, cooperation/relationships, problem analysis/discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral/written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability/dependability, flexibility and ownership/accountability of actions taken. Provides new hire training and continuing education to improve the quality and efficiency of Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) recovery operations. Coordinate training programs/schedules for a variety of locations, timelines, personnel, MSP subject matter and media. Makes recommendations to the type of training to be conducted based upon subject material, learning styles and desired end results. Solicits feedback on effectiveness of training from trainees and management. Improves training sessions and materials based upon the feedback. Develops innovative ways to present material to trainees to ensure a positive learning environment. Develops and conducts training sessions for a variety of efforts including but not limited to: new hire training, system releases, procedural changes, annual update trainings and specialized refresher trainings. Conducts trainings through various methods including: instructor led training, computed based trainings, conference calls, webinars, and train-the-trainer sessions. Creates flow charts and job aides. Uses the internet Learning Management System (LMS) to its fullest extent to develop and provide Computer Bases Trainings (CBTs), “learning nuggets”, and learning paths for MSPRC personnel. Prepares and maintains training programs and materials, including handouts, tests, surveys and other training documentation. Supports training objectives. Schedules and publishes trainings to the LMS and tracks attendee via the same tool. Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of all training reports as required by CMS or MSPRC and CNI management. Performs administrative activities, including compiling, storing, and retrieving data for reports. Has the ability to travel as required. Works in a team environment and is expected to assist other team members as needed. Works closely with the QA, SOP and policy departments and other members of management to identify training needs, and update SOPs and work tools. Actively seeks out existing CMS training tools and materials to incorporate into the training program. Maintains a thorough knowledge of CMS MSP regulations, MSPRC computer systems and MSPRC Standard Operating Procedures, including primary contract operations in the functional areas of the MSPRC call center and MSP correspondence from beneficiaries, attorneys, and other insurance companies. Maintains confidentiality and upholds standards for privacy and data integrity and security. Adheres to qualitative and quantitative standards as established to meet contractual obligations and changing business requirements. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Medicare. Proficient in Microsoft Windows/Office. Experience in developing and providing technical and end-user training in a healthcare or Medicare recovery environment; as well as familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, including internet and computer-based training methods.
