Position Summary: Plays active role on management team, supervising retail and/or production, as needed. Assists manager in planning and training. At times may be only “Supervisor in Charge” of entire facility. Perform all management tasks in the absence of the manager. Supervise retail and/or production activities to ensure that goals are met in production and sales. Responsible for assuring a high level of customer and donor service. Assure Easter Seals-Goodwill policies and procedures are uniformly followed. Cross training required in all aspects of Goodwill.
Serves as an example to employees and peers in demonstrating ESGW’s mission, vision, values and culture.
Fosters an environment of positive teamwork via staff meetings, ongoing/hands on supervision, and regular verbal/written communication.
Appropriately balances departmental objectives with ESGW strategic plans and goals.
Maintains complete confidentiality of all information involved with program/service participants, staff and/or other fiscal matters.
Models all safety rules and requirements. Promotes a strong safety culture and maintains a safe environment for customers/clients and co-workers.
Meets the attendance requirements for this position.
Models ESGW and department policies and procedures, including policies outlined in the employee handbook.
Essential Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of related leadership experience desirable
Sensitive to customer needs and wishes
Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities or other special needs preferred
Must have good driving record and valid drivers’ license
Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community
Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job
Able to lift and carry 20-100 pounds with team lifting or mechanical assistance
Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods
Able to go up and down steps
Tolerance of extreme changes in temperature and humidity
Must be able to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends or longer shifts if needed. May be required to work more than 40 hours per week
