This position will provide professional support to senior staff working with businesses interested to relocation and/or expansion within Kentucky. In working with the senior staff, this person(s) must develop and provide professional expertise in the evaluation of business plans, strategies, practices and financial management and identify community assets and challenges in attracting and retaining those Businesses. This person will identify workforce development needs and help businesses of all sizes and industries develop a comprehensive plan to meet those needs. The person in this position under senior staff guidance will also make presentation to companies and various interest groups about workforce development system and solution opportunities available to them and will perform other duties as assigned.
This person should be a self-starter who can work well with a team. He/She must build strong client relationships with consultants, company representatives and other state and private sector agencies by demonstrating responsiveness and expertise. Group : ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Characteristics of the Class : Performs beginning level professional work in researching, planning, evaluating and promoting industrial or business development and/or expansion in Kentucky; and performs other duties as required. Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements : Work typically involves extensive contact with the public. Travel may be required.
