Checks, prepares and restocks food stations to par with food and supplies. Follows recipes to portion standards. Maintains food quality by inspecting freshness, expiration dates, temperatures and rotating food items according to First In-First Out. Requests needed items for ordering. Communicates food shortages and needs before running out. Reports any food not of usable quality to the Management before discarding. Maintains a clean and sanitized work area. Maintains quality in all food preparation while monitoring production to avoid waste. Prepares all food and supplies in a timely manner as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef. Assists kitchen staff as needed.
Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, six months to one year job related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Must supply own working tools.
Mescalero Apache Tribal Preference. Bi-cultural experience preferred.
