NCI: As the Instructor for Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) DoD courses, you will be responsible for platform instruction and practical hands on instruction to students going through a formal joint technical school to train BMETs.
Highlight of Responsibilities
Teach and oversee intensive BMET courses, including lecture and laboratory presentations in the area of basic biomedical instrumentation, troubleshooting and repair of general biomedical equipment, etc...
Apply teaching techniques to best achieve course and program objectives
Provide guidance and training to faculty and students
Possess knowledge of the procedures, tools, and devices involved in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of medical devices and medical equipment acquired through certified formal education/training.
The BMET shall possess an Associate's degree or higher in Biomedical Equipment Technology and at least 4 years experience as a medical/dental equipment repair technician.
DoD/former DoD BMETs with MTF, Medical Equipment Repair Center (MERC), and instructor experience highly desirable.
