This position is responsible for providing a high level of technical and business expertise for the functional support of information systems used in outage restoration. In addition, this person will work with the TPS team on long term strategies for the processes and software tools used by the Distribution Control, Line & Service organizations. This person will establish and maintain knowledge of technologies currently deployed for Outage Management as well as technologies being used across the industry that would benefit the business. This person will need to establish a strong relationship into the business to ensure complete understanding of the Outage Management and Restoration processes. This includes building relationships with Distribution Control Center as well as the operational teams in the field to be able to proactively identify, document and propose solutions for the business.
Positional assignments include various technology project and storm duty assignments in support of software products. In addition, this person will provide a liaison with ITT for major technology deployments. The Sr. EMSSS collaborates extensively with ITT on technology upgrades, enterprise changes and tactical transition of process change.
The incumbent will recommend and support the development of training to ensure effective learning and utilization of information systems and end-user computing tools as they apply to the business processes.

An understanding of (or ability to understand) and support Outage Management and Restoration processes. Specifically the individual will have or develop a strong understanding of two major products in the Intergraph Suite InService and iMobileTC – in the ways that these tools will be used by the business.
A strong understanding of Outage Management systems, knowledge of the Intergraph Mobile Product (iMobileTC), as well as a good understanding of MobileLink and / or GIS Technology would be a plus.
The ability to assist management in the transition of complex systems to new platforms and work on the interfaces required for the transition including some project management activities as a subject matter expert.
The ability to develop, prepare and deliver plans, presentations, and training to all levels of users.
The ability to understand data queries, resolution of error logs, table updates, system testing and end user requests.
This person needs the ability to build strong relationships with the business in order to be effective in this role.
This includes an understanding of Project Management processes at they apply to the implementation of technology.
This includes strong Change Management skills when implementing technology projects.
Critical technical skills include:
An understanding of (or ability to understand) Outage Management and mobile software tools.
An understanding that allows the support of Line and Service software tools and hardware in the mobile units.
A working knowledge of rugged laptops, their functionality and communication technologies.
A candidate with skills that include table querying, outage restoration processes, and customer interface / support also a plus.
