We are seeking a QA Automation Development Engineer to drive the continuing development of our test automation system and to help us improve the quality and performance of our award-winning flagship product.
Lead the continued design, development, and implementation of our test framework for automatic regression testing of our flagship product.
Develop sophisticated automated tests.
Perform root cause analysis of problems, isolate testing issues.
Execute tests and record results during release cycles.
Develop and document test and use cases.
Report defects in bug reports.
Work with product development engineers to drive issues to appropriate resolution and closure.
Contribute to the management of complex test environments that emulate typical Enterprise IT data centers, including virtual and physical infrastructures.
Minimum of 5 years of programming development and QA experience (flexible and dependent upon individual candidate's experience and expertise)
Test automation framework development experience
Virtualization and networking experience
Understanding of QA methodology and process
Detail-oriented, resourceful, flexible, self-motivated, and a quick-learner
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Programming expertise in at least one of the following: Python (strongly preferred), Bash, Perl, PowerShell, Java, C, must have OO development experience.
Current experience with Linux distributions, particularly with customization.
Working understanding of core TCP/IP networking including DNS, firewalls.
Working knowledge of VMware vSphere and ESX, or equivalent virtualization experience
SQL database experience, e.g. Postgres
Nice-to-Have Technical Capabilities:
Experience using VMwares SDK
Experience with Gentoo, sqlalchemy, lighttpd (LAMP stack)
Selenium automated (Web GUI) test tool experience
Ranorex automated (Windows GUI) test tool experience
Storage administration experience (NAS/SAN)
Cisco, Dell, or equivalent router or switch administration
Java programming knowledge or experience
