Logistician Level 2

(U) Responsible for managing the supply chain, arranging transportation and storage of
materials, and transportation management. Managing the supply chain includes every
step in the process of the procurement of materials to the shipment of the materials to
different countries throughout the world in a timely manner.

Skill Level 1: (U) The Level 1 Logistician shall be able to perform the following indicated tasks:

(U) Supports property management duties

(U) Completes monthly inventory reports per government guidelines

(U) Supports inventory control processes to account for property received, shipped, excessed, moved or
transferred

(U) Enters incoming property, transferred property, and excessed property records into the Defense
Property Accountability System (DPAS)

(U) Assists system developers and integrators during shipment of systems and system upgrades

Level 1 Qualifications: (U) Four (4) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and
complexity is required. Experience shall include knowledge of property accounting processes and associated
forms, ordering, processing, shipping, receiving, packaging, material handling, and discharge of excess
property. Shall possess knowledge of automated inventory control systems. Shall have experience with
processing paperwork related to Government Bill of Lading and the DD1149.

Skill Level 2: (U) The Level 2 Logistician shall be able to perform the indicated Level 1 tasks plus the
following indicated tasks:


(U) Coordinates and performs all property accountability functions and property management functions in
accordance with government guidance and industry best practices


(U) Provides monthly inventory reports in accordance with government guidelines

(U) Develops inventory control processes to account for property received, shipped, excessed, moved, or
transferred


(U) Develops material handling processes for shipping, receiving, storage, and disposition of property

(U) Establishes program level Defense Property Accountability System(s) for incoming property (Line
Item Receiving Report), transferred property, and excessed property.


(U) Coordinates all aspects of shipments resulting from systems integration and system upgrade activities

Level 2 Qualifications: (U) Ten (10) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and
complexity is required. Experience shall include knowledge of property accounting processes and associated
forms, ordering, processing, shipping, receiving, packaging, material handling, and discharge of excess
property. Shall possess knowledge of automated inventory control systems. Shall have experience with
processing paperwork related to Government Bill of Lading and the DD1149.
