The Practice Manager is assigned to oversee either the Primary Care Practices or Specialty Practices of WGH. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating and managing the operations of all assigned practices. The Practice Manager works collaboratively with practice providers to ensure the efficient and effective daily operation of the practices. This includes supervision and evaluation of the Practice Supervisors, budget management, financial oversight, billing, office accounting, quality, safety, performance improvement initiatives, and patient satisfaction. In collaboration with the Director of Practice Management he/she will assist with business process analysis and redesign, developing business plans, financial proformas to evaluate growth opportunities, provides expertise in front end revenue cycle processes, and physician practice performance analytics.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three (3) years of management experience in ambulatory care or a physician practice required. Five (5) years of increasing responsibility and leadership in an ambulatory care or physician practice setting within a hospital system preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to skillfully collaborate with providers, to include supervision of multiple disciplines and multiple levels of staff. Associates Degree in business/healthcare or equivalency required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Certified Coding credentials preferred.
