This position reports to the Director of Front Office; major area of supervision is the lobby area to include the Concierge, Valet & Door & Bell stands. Previous experience with recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, payroll administration, and porterage preferred. The individual must be hospitality oriented, with a proven ability to resolve customer issues, complaints, and problems in a quick, efficient manner and continuously improve the hotel's ability to anticipate our guests' needs. Candidate should have at least two years of previous supervisory experience in a related hotel position. Must possess a two year degree or higher. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills and requires the individual to work a flexible schedule based on business demands. Excellent oral and written English communication skills a must; second language is desirable. Union experience required.

The Guest Services Manger will spend 80% of his/her time on the floor overseeing Guest Services staff while actively interfacing with the Roosevelt Hotel guests. The individual will meet weekly with the Sales team to ensure proper service of guest needs. Will ensure that guest entrance and lobby public areas appearance meet the Roosevelt Hotel’s high standards. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing action plans aimed at increasing GSS scores for Guest Service and will greet & handle VIP clientele as needed. The individual will ensure proper staffing during peak times and productivity while managing payroll and controlling labor expenses to meet financial goals. The ideal candidate will serve as Manager on Duty and Front Desk Manager when needed.
