Summary:
·
Responsible for providing expertise on complex
business, financial or managerial issues within a business unit or corporate
environment.

Education/Experience:
·
4 year Degree in Accounting or equivalent or 4
year Degree in Business with a minimum of 18 hours accounting coursework.

·
Professional Certification (CPA, CMA or
equivalent) - Preferred.

·
6 to 8 years of accounting experience -
Preferred.

·
Accounting experience at a large public
accounting firm or a Fortune 500 company - Preferred.

·
3.0 /4.0 Accounting Grade Point Average (or
equivalent) - Preferred.

·
3.0 / 4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (or
equivalent) - Preferred.

·
MBA or Masters Degree in Accounting (or
equivalent) - Preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
·
Experience in manufacturing , Willingness to
relocate and be mobile minded and Demonstrated excellence in Leadership,
Initiative, Communication, Interpersonal, Judgment and Analytical skills,
excellent skills on Microsoft Excel, MS Access and ERP experience desired.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Ability to analyze and understand various
accounting issues that affect the business, Educate your accounting staff and
non-accountants on accounting issues, Resolve issues independently, Lead and/or
direct teams within or outside of accounting to address complex problems, and
Demonstrate accountability for you and your team s results.

·
May perform financial accounting provide leadership for monthly legal
entity / profit center reporting, May act as an accounting user
representative for multiple or more complex systems, May act as a Corporate tax
representative for federal, state or international tax areas, May act as a
Corporate product cost representative dealing with non-routine or
non-repetitive processes, May act as a business analyst for corporate sourcing,
New Product Introduction and competitive analysis studies and/or a business
analyst for specific business unit or product teams.

Additional Job Details:

The Staff accountant will provide technical
expertise and will perform more complex financial/decision support accounting
work that supports business processes.

·
Additionally, this position will: have a
comprehensive understanding of business and accounting practices, systems and
procedures; apply accounting knowledge and provide guidance on accounting
issues; participate on and lead teams Incumbents are exposed to a variety of
accounting functions and accomplish a high level of complex and/or technical
analysis, review various outputs for reasonableness and advise other
accountants.

·
Incumbent works on challenging, medium to high
risk issues and makes business decisions and recommendations as appropriate.

·
Work is supported by a supervisor primarily
through review of results.

·
Possible areas of responsibility are varied,
including: financial accounting, including preparation of journal entries,
account reconciliations, inventory accounting; internal management accounting,
including profit center reporting and budgeting; development and maintenance of
internal controls and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley control
documentation Accounting tasks are of high complexity such as standard cost
revision coordination, inventory analysis, system support and development, and
business unit/corporate level consolidations.

Advises and provides guidance to multiple
functional areas and levels of authority.

·
The Staff Accountant II is capable of handling
complex accounting issues such as methodology changes, reorganization and
accounting standards.

·
Incumbents will demonstrate knowledge and
ability to independently handle accounting issues.

·
They will demonstrate very good communication
skills and have a comprehensive knowledge of their business unit products,
suppliers and customers and accounting processes.

·
Must have proven record of strong initiative,
leadership, accountability and effective communication skills.

·
Manufacting experience required.

·
Strong excels skills, ERP and MS Access desired.
