POSITION DETAILS: One Permanent Full-Time Director of Professional Services position to be filled at Whiteriver Service Unit, Whiteriver, Arizona.

Salary range: $81,823.00- $106,369.00 (Annually)

Merit Promotion Position: Yes

Supervisory/Managerial Position: Yes, you may be required to serve a one-year Probationary Period.

Relocation Expenses Paid: Relocation expenses are authorized and will be paid. You will be required to sign a one year service agreement. Failure to fulfill the one year service agreement may result in repayment of relocation expenses.

Director of Professional Services provides expert staff guidance and overall program assessment following standards of care and practices required for providing inpatient and ambulatory care.
Provides professional leadership, guidance, direction and assistance for current and planned programs and projects.
Supervises Managers for the professional and support services departments engaging in a variety of administrative and support activities (Clinical Laboratory Department, Diagnostic Medical Imaging Services, Pharmacy Department, Dietary Department, IRM/RPMS Program, Clinical Application Coordinator, Community Nutrition, and Physical Therapy Department).
Develops and implements internal programs plans and procedures to incorporating goals and objectives of the Whiteriver Service Unit (WRSU), the White Mountain Apache Tribe, Phoenix Area Indian Health Service and the agency.
Communicates regularly with other departments and programs keeping them abreast of new developments and to also provide a network of support and assistance.

Basic Requirements:
Degree: Major study in an academic field related to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position (successfully completed a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree or higher graduate degree).

AND

GS-13: One year specialized experience equivalent to at least a GS-12 level performing recommendations which have a direct and substantial effect on the organization and projects managed. Coordination and integration of a number of major work assignments, projects, or program segmetns of the professional services. Ability to perform such functions as planning, organizing, directing, reviewing work; administering personnel matters; and accomplishing non-supervisory tasks and/or special assignments .
