We are looking for talented assistant professors to join us in Fall of 2010. Experienced faculty applying at the associate rank may be considered. UNDERGRADUATE FACULTY: As a private institution, Aurora University expects faculty to be involved in the lives of students through mentoring, student support, enrollment initiatives, and other activities relating to the college experience. Ph.D.
and evidence of successful teaching or a strong potential for successful teaching are required unless otherwise specified. Undergraduate faculty are generally expected to contribute to the interdisciplinary general education program, and, when appropriate, the university honors program. GRADUATE FACULTY: Graduate programs at Aurora University emphasize professional preparation. As such, preference will be given to candidates with professional experience in their field along with teaching expertise.
An appropriate level of scholarly productivity and advising of graduate students also are expected. Ph.D. and evidence of successful teaching or a strong potential for successful teaching are required unless otherwise specified. Current Illinois license and Masters Degree in Nursing required, earned doctorate in nursing or nursing related field preferred.
