Serves as Principal Level Training and Development Instructor at the HUMINT Training-Joint Center of Excellence (HT-JCOE), Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities include researching, developing, and disseminating in-depth Human Intelligence (HUMINT) debriefing techniques, tactics, and procedures, specifically as it applies to national-level strategic operations in a joint DoD environment. Research and development will be focused on all general tasks associated with debriefing, including immersive role-playing, platform instruction, and mentoring. Additionally, will research and develop script packages for role-play training scenarios, including generation of tailored grading criteria, background material, and other supporting documentation associated with the role.
Instructor will prepare articles and special assessments as required and brief senior leaders on potential threats and incidents.
Instructors will Develop plans and milestones for the analysis, design, and development of courses of instruction to include being responsible for the presentation and conduct of all related course training. They will also prepare lesson plans, training support materials, and tests. Focus of task includes instructing students on HUMINT skillcraft and providing counseling to students to assist them in acquiring the required skills and successfully completion of the course. Selected candidates will serve as a DoD strategic-level HUMINT instructor, delivering the Program of Instruction (POI) primarily through role-playing instruction, focusing on the various components of debriefing, including interpersonal skills, communication, and writing.
MUST HAVE a TS/SCI existing clearance
6+ years Strategic Debriefing Experience as a
CERTIFIED Strategic Debriefer
after completing and graduating from the U.S DoD Strategic Debriefing Course (DSDC). Practical knowledge of DoD strategic-level debriefing, including planning, execution, and review phases. Ability to perform field debriefing operations and translate them into instructional classroom scenarios. Familiarity with DoD regulations and procedures governing HUMINT operations, especially as applied to debriefing. Practical knowledge of DA, DOD DIA and Joint training policies. Knowledge of speaking dynamics, grammar, and ability to effectively deliver an oral presentation at the university level. Skill in written communications is required to write training materials, doctrinal literature and correspondence. Knowledgeable of various operating automated support systems ranging from NIPER, SIPER to JWICS.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license as well as maintaining military installation driving privileges. Training may involve TDY travel of up to 25% of time. Must be willing to work overtime and irregular hours.
Instructors must be able to use the following software programs to include: Windows XP, MS-Word, MS-Outlook, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Excel.
Minimum of 2 or more years of operational experience conducting overt collection and operations.
Graduate of any of the following courses is desirable: AMSOC, ASOC, ASOT III, MOTC, FTC, AFCIO, SOC, MAGTF CI/HUMINT, DOSOC, CFCO, MCC, JSVC
Graduate of a DoD or U.S. government equivalent basic instructor course
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in lieu of education may be considered.
